Halloween

For those of you who can't wait to see our Halloween...

Here's my Toy Story Alien, and The Hulk

Poor Reuben never did get any tastes of candy.
He doesn't know what he's missing...
look at him savor the candy with the wrappers still on! :)

"Trick or Treat, thank you"!
She never even took a breath, just spit it out as fast as she could.

Here we are earlier in the week at the public school's Halloween carnival.

Evalyn and Reuben's favorite game, the cake walk.
P.S. Reuben scrambled over to the pumpkin spot all by himself,
and crawled in a circle just like the big kids. :)

Evalyn calls the Toy Story aliens, "Hikes"...we still can't figure out why. :)

Kate joined us at the carnival...she's Pebbles, in case you can't tell.
Aren't they cute?!

Happy Halloween!!!

All Reuben!

Here is a little of what Reuben's been up to these days. :)

He's learning how to walk, and he's close...so close.

He grabs on to Evalyn, and away they go.

He can also walk about 5-8 steps by himself,
but these pictures are just so cute! :)

As babies do, he of course loves playing in boxes full of stuff.

And here he is at the State Fair with his feather hat.

Which didn't last long.

He loves to be free of strollers and arms.
He'd so much rather be on his own. It makes him happy. :)

Here he is watching Evalyn ride rides. (I really like this one)

And we had a sleep over with our cousin Kate.
Here they all are in the morning. We had a lot of fun together.

And our day trip to Palisades Reservoir.

We visited The Bar T-5 in Jackson Hole where Grandma works.
Reuben is nervous around horses...

My hams. They make me smile. :)

Daddy's trying to show him horses are friendly.

He's still not too sure about it....

And I'm a mean mom, I made Kurt do this so I could get a picture.
(Kurt did it under protest for the record.)

But Reuben forgave us. He'll make a cute cowboy someday...maybe. :)

Yellowstone again. Reuben was enthralled with the bubbling geysers.

The boys.

More of him checking things out.
He struggled to be put down every step of the way. :)
He's a goer.

Here's Reuben with Kate at one of Uncle Sammy's cross country races.
They are good friends.

And that's All Reuben!

All Evalyn!

Here's a little of what Evalyn has been up to these days...

This is how she "plays" with Reuben...
he's laughing so I just cringe, and make sure nothing escalates. :}

Here she is at the State Fair. She looks forward the feather hats every year.
The sad thing is that every year, she can pronounce "feather" better. :)

SHEEEEP!!

More animals...isn't she so cute?!

Evalyn's sitting in the third car from the end, you can't see her head because...

she was scared from all the noise, so she was plugging her ears. :)
I had to try hard not to laugh when she climbed off the ride.
The good news is she wasn't too upset, just ready to move on the next ride.

Peek!

So much fun!

Also, Evalyn started going to preschool!

She loves going and has really enjoyed her teacher, her friends, and learning.
(Not to mention, it's been nice for me too)

Here we are at Palisades Reservoir.

It was such a pretty drive and a beautiful autumn day.

On our way home, we swung by Grandma's work, The Bar T-5 in Jackson Hole,
and Evalyn got to ride Duster for a while. :)

Here she is checking out the draft horses.

She's scared of dogs, but loves horses...go figure. :)

She would've climbed on the backs of the draft's if she could.

Just can't get enough!

And here's another of her horse back ride.

Here we are at another trip to Yellowstone.

Evalyn told us the sign said, "Keep Off, Danger!"

Learning about steaming geysers.

She actually wanted ME to take a picture, very, very rare.
Typically I have to catch her unaware to get a photo. :)

And that's...All Evalyn! :)
