Happy Birthday's!

I told you it would be a challenge for me to keep updated with you on this blog.
I missed reporting on some important milestones this fall...
so before we get too far past, let me share with you the birthday's we've celebrated!

Evalyn turned 4 years old in September!

She wanted a pink cake...interesting,
because she always chooses blue and green things.

The backpack behind her is still one of her favorite things.
She uses it all the time, even for things other than preschool.

Her knuckles were white squeezing that book so hard. :)

More unwrapping...

She was gracious, and always said "THANK YOU!!!"

Oh Boy! Another book!

She opens everything so carefully.

Reuben picked out that horse for her...she still tells me,
"Reuben got me this horse."

What a smile! :)

I realize these pictures are in reverse order, but you get the idea.

She had fun decorating with balloons and streamers.

And after presents, she wanted to eat hot dogs, fruit and corn.
What a fun girl! :)

Reuben opened presents for his birthday...so serious.
One year old in November!

He's starting to really enjoy reading books by himself now too.

He was happy to unwrap his gifts...even though I never got a smile on camera. :)

He loves that dog. He signs "dog" over and over and over again.

Waiting patiently while Papa helps unwrap.

That evening, he had his first cake.
My favorite, cherries and chocolate. :)

Other than dogs, and books Reuben also loves soft blankets...

He loves them...

He really, really loves soft blankets. :)

Unwrapping some more after calming down about the blanket.

He froze like that for a few moments. "Where do I touch first?!"

And then we couldn't get him and Kate off the toy. Success. :)

Happy Birthday you guys!
We all love you so much!

Lagoon and Family

We look forward every year to spending time with our family at Lagoon.

Evalyn and Eliza play really well together.

And I can't wait till Reuben and Tucker get a
little older so they can really start playing too.

They were so cute waiting patiently in line. :)

Evalyn's favorite ride was the Scrambler.

And Reuben's first ride was on the Merry-Go-Round.

There they are on the roller coaster.

So much fun!

Reuben was really good the whole day too.

I love their Halloween shirts for the occasion,
what a great tradition. Thanks Lori!

Kids...

Hold...

Still...

And smile!

I love spending time with our cousins and visiting with our family in such a fun place.
It's so cool to be lucky enough to do it every year.
Evalyn talks about it all year long.
And as they all get a little older, we'll have even more fun together! :)

Halloween

For those of you who can't wait to see our Halloween...

Here's my Toy Story Alien, and The Hulk

Poor Reuben never did get any tastes of candy.
He doesn't know what he's missing...
look at him savor the candy with the wrappers still on! :)

"Trick or Treat, thank you"!
She never even took a breath, just spit it out as fast as she could.

Here we are earlier in the week at the public school's Halloween carnival.

Evalyn and Reuben's favorite game, the cake walk.
P.S. Reuben scrambled over to the pumpkin spot all by himself,
and crawled in a circle just like the big kids. :)

Evalyn calls the Toy Story aliens, "Hikes"...we still can't figure out why. :)

Kate joined us at the carnival...she's Pebbles, in case you can't tell.
Aren't they cute?!

Happy Halloween!!!
